This part of the update could be something that we potentially can do as an activity outside of Salvage for fun loot, depending on how hard/easy these poppable NMs are, what it takes to beat 'em, and what they drop.

Just food for thought, if it's something we can easily do by gathering at X time and going to Y place and smashing Z enemy, it seems to me that it can be easily organized and done. We'll see, I suppose. Food for thought. Yum.

I think you're forgetting one important point: we have no idea what kind of gear they're promising, or if -any- of it will even be good. If it turns out to be good gear then we should absolutely do it.

I'm going to go ahead and say it's smash time on these NM's, since they seem the most likely source of the new goodies, and I'm in need of armor upgrades for meh DRG...

It actually turned out that there's a lot of awesome gear from these NMs, which are the "ZNMs" as some have coined them... see relevant topic in the "Events" forum about 'em.
